We seek an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to architect, develop, and optimize our foundational services and application programming interfaces.
In this position, you will assume complete accountability for the backend infrastructure, enhance database efficiency, and maintain robust security measures while ensuring system reliability and uninterrupted availability.
Responsibilities
Architecture & Scaling: Develop backend systems and microservices characterized by robustness, clarity, and ease of maintenance.
Develop and implement robust, secure, high-performance RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration and data exchange across systems.
Database Optimization involves refining query performance, enhancing schema architecture, and implementing caching mechanisms to effectively manage and sustain high-traffic loads.
Infrastructure & DevOps: Engage in the development and optimization of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, and server performance monitoring initiatives.
Mentorship responsibilities include conducting code reviews for peer pull requests and providing guidance to mid-level engineers on optimal development practices.
In addition to the duties outlined above, the role may encompass supplementary responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required for this position.
4+ years of hands-on backend development experience at the production level is required.
Proficient in the Laravel framework and experienced with both relational and non-relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Regis.
Proven expertise in architectural design, particularly in scaling systems, overseeing queue management, and developing microservices architectures.
Proficiency in containerization with Docker, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or GCP, and expertise in continuous integration and delivery pipelines are required.
