Job Summary

We seek dependable technicians to assist with daily fiber optic cable pulling and installation tasks as part of the GVA FTTH project in Ibadan.

This position is a hands-on entry-level opportunity designed for individuals eager to perform outdoor work and develop skills through practical experience.

Oversee a range of critical duties that include managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive organizational growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and execute solutions that align with business objectives. Monitor performance metrics to evaluate progress and make data-driven adjustments as necessary. Prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership, outlining key achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future initiatives.

Provide support in the transportation, loading, and unloading of cable drums, tools, and materials as needed.

Establish and oversee the configuration and operation of drum stands, rollers, and pulling equipment at the designated location.

Clear any obstructions along the designated path and assist with traffic management as required.

Assist riggers and pullers throughout the cable installation and pulling operations to ensure seamless execution.

Maintain a tidy and orderly work environment at all times.

Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and utilize the required personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently throughout all tasks.

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in project management and client relations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role is required, along with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field. Experience with budget tracking, deadline management, and stakeholder coordination is essential.

Capable of performing physically demanding outdoor tasks on a daily basis with consistent energy and strength.

Open to working extended hours in the field while adhering to provided instructions.

Proficiency in reading, writing, and effective communication is highly desirable.

A background in construction, telecom, or manual labor, while advantageous, is not a prerequisite for this position.

Must demonstrate unwavering reliability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to collaborative teamwork.
