Role Description
This position involves a full-time teaching role in Mathematics, conducted on-site in Ibadan.
The Mathematics Teacher will design and present dynamic mathematics lessons in accordance with the school’s established curriculum and educational goals. This role involves developing structured lesson plans, instructing students across various mathematical subjects, creating and evaluating assignments and assessments, and promptly delivering constructive feedback to learners and their families.
This position requires tailoring instructional methods to accommodate varied learning needs, meticulously tracking student progress, and actively participating in curriculum evaluation and enhancement initiatives.
The educator will engage in staff meetings, attend professional development sessions, and participate in school events while fostering a positive, secure, and inclusive classroom and school atmosphere.
Qualifications
Demonstrates extensive expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education, coupled with a commitment to fostering problem-solving and analytical competencies in learners.
Capable of creating and executing well-structured lesson plans and curricula, with expertise in designing interactive lessons, evaluations, and educational materials that meet established school standards.
As a Qualified Teacher, you must possess the necessary teaching certification and relevant classroom experience, ideally within an international or British curriculum school setting.
A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related discipline is required, while possession of an education qualification or PGCE (or equivalent) is advantageous.
Candidates should possess prior teaching experience within the English National Curriculum—or frameworks of comparable structure—and demonstrate a solid understanding of blended or cross-curricular instructional methods.
Proven ability in classroom management, effective communication, and fostering interpersonal relationships, alongside a dedication to safeguarding students and implementing inclusive teaching strategies.
Proficient in utilizing foundational educational technology tools for delivering lessons, evaluating student progress, and facilitating communication with learners and their families.
Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning and career advancement through regular skill enhancement and staying current with industry trends.
