Job Overview

We seek an accomplished, proactive Team Leader – Investment Banking to spearhead deal origination and execution, cultivate key client relationships, and mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth.

You will serve as the pivotal point of contact within our transaction teams, bridging the gap between high-level strategic concepts and their seamless implementation across mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising initiatives, and corporate advisory engagements.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, team leadership, and operational management to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, compliance, and performance across all departments. Collaborate closely with senior management to align projects with long-term business goals while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for optimization, and drive data-informed decision-making. Additionally, serve as a liaison with external stakeholders, such as clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to maintain strong relationships and uphold the company’s reputation.

Deal origination and transaction execution form a core responsibility of this role, with the Group Managing Director and Board providing strategic backing to pursue opportunities across M&A, capital markets, and other advisory engagements—including those within the public sector.

Execute transactions and finalize deals with precision and efficiency, ensuring all steps adhere to established protocols and regulatory standards. Maintain meticulous documentation throughout each process to guarantee accuracy and compliance, while simultaneously addressing any discrepancies or issues that may arise. Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders to facilitate seamless deal execution and foster strong professional relationships.

Mergers and acquisitions (M&A) structuring involves designing and implementing optimal transaction frameworks to support corporate clients throughout mergers and divestitures.

Capital Markets: Facilitate the execution of debt and equity issuance transactions, ensuring seamless coordination among stakeholders throughout the process.

Develop and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are surpassed through consistent engagement and proactive communication. Identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction by understanding their business objectives and providing tailored solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries promptly and resolving issues efficiently to foster long-term trust and collaboration. Collaborate with internal teams to align service delivery with client requirements, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to contractual obligations.

As the key daily liaison, you will serve as the main point of contact for corporate executives and investor groups, ensuring seamless communication and relationship management.

Pitching new business opportunities and delivering compelling presentations of strategic concepts are key responsibilities of this role.

Provide negotiation support by guiding clients through discussions on transaction terms, purchase agreements, and valuations to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsible for leading the team and ensuring the successful completion of all deliverables within established timelines and quality standards.

Quality Control ensures the accuracy and reliability of financial models, valuation analyses, and pitch books prepared by Analysts and Associates through meticulous review and validation.

Workflow Delegation: Responsibilities will be distributed among Investment Banking team members, with strict oversight of deal timelines to ensure adherence to established deadlines.

Mentorship for Junior Staff: Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations for entry-level professionals in the Investment Banking division.

Devise and execute revenue-generating initiatives while aligning strategic objectives with market opportunities to maximize profitability and sustainable growth.

Through market trend analysis, macroeconomic changes, and industry developments, we generate innovative transaction ideas to uncover fresh opportunities.

Business Development: Drive client revenue growth by cultivating new business opportunities and expanding the firm’s market presence.

Requirements

Experience with cloud platforms, including AWS or Azure, and an understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker are highly valued. Additionally, knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL), API development, and system architecture design is required. Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous learning in evolving technologies are crucial for success in this role.

A strong command of advanced corporate finance principles, coupled with specialized financial modeling skills—including LBO, DCF, and Accretion/Dilution analyses—and extensive industry-specific expertise is essential.
