Responsible for overseeing and executing month-end and year-end closing processes.
Thoroughly oversee the prompt reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory levels to maintain accurate financial records.
Oversee financial planning, including the development and monitoring of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and performance targets.
Craft comprehensive financial models to assess project financing viability, devise optimal pricing strategies, and evaluate investment opportunities rigorously.
Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate solar installations and capital expenditure decisions.
Offer executive-level strategic analysis to leadership regarding profitability optimization, cash flow management, and avenues for sustainable growth.
Facilitate and enhance fundraising initiatives, investor reporting protocols, and financial due diligence activities as needed.
Direct the efforts of a three-person finance team, providing guidance, support, and oversight to foster professional growth and ensure operational excellence.
Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance the effectiveness of the finance unit, while fostering a culture of accountability across all financial operations.
Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Nigerian tax legislation requirements.
Collaborate effectively with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth operational processes.
Enhance internal controls and strengthen risk management frameworks to ensure operational integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood development, or a closely related field is required, with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in an educational setting. Preference will be given to candidates holding a teaching certification or specialized training in instructional methodologies. Practical experience in curriculum design, classroom management, and student assessment is highly desirable. Familiarity with diverse learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly are essential.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
Chartered Accountancy certification from recognized institutions such as ICAN, ARCA, or their equivalents is an essential requirement for this role.
Proficiency in renewable energy sector operations is required.
Minimum of five to seven years of progressive accounting and finance experience is required.
Accomplished expertise in overseeing the General Ledger and completing the entire accounting cycle is required.
