Job Purpose

The Finance Officer will oversee the prudent management of project funds, ensuring adherence to donor and organizational guidelines while maintaining precise financial records and delivering accurate financial reports.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties, including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects, monitor progress, and deliver measurable outcomes. Analyze performance data to identify trends, address inefficiencies, and optimize operational workflows. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Represent the organization in stakeholder meetings, providing expert insights and actionable recommendations. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.

Responsible for ensuring the precision and integrity of financial records and accounting documentation.

Handle financial transactions including payments, advances, and reimbursements.

Before authorizing any payments, ensure all supporting documentation is thoroughly reviewed and validated.

Prepare financial documentation by compiling and verifying payment vouchers and recording journal entries to ensure accurate and timely accounting transactions.

Responsibilities include the meticulous management and updating of casebooks, bankbooks, and financial registers to ensure accurate financial documentation and compliance with established accounting standards.

Oversee project expenditures to ensure alignment with the approved budget, verifying that financial resources are allocated and utilized efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

Aid in the development, adjustment, and projection of budgets.

Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial records to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

We provide assistance with both internal and external audit processes to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

Offer expert financial management assistance to field-based teams, ensuring accurate budget tracking, financial reporting, and compliance with organizational policies. Collaborate with various departments to align financial strategies with operational goals, facilitate efficient resource allocation, and maintain meticulous records for audit readiness. Demonstrate proficiency in financial software, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
