Job Purpose
The Protection/MHPSS Officer will facilitate the establishment of safe learning environments, deliver psychosocial support services, reinforce protection frameworks, and develop clear referral pathways for vulnerable children, adolescents, caregivers, and community members. Additionally, the Officer will ensure the integration of protection principles across all stages of project implementation.
Overseeing and executing key responsibilities that drive operational excellence and team performance are central to this role. This includes managing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Additionally, the position requires developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency, as well as overseeing project timelines and deliverables to meet organizational objectives. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to motivate teams, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain high standards of accountability. The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in a similar role, with a track record of achieving measurable results and contributing to sustainable growth.
Develop and execute child protection and safeguarding initiatives in educational institutions and local communities, ensuring a secure environment for all children.
Perform evaluations of protection risks and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
Cultivate learning environments that prioritize safety, inclusivity, and protection for all individuals.
Identify and provide assistance to vulnerable children and individuals at risk, ensuring their safety and well-being through targeted support and intervention strategies.
Oversee evolving protection risks and emerging patterns among designated populations to ensure timely identification and response.
Craft age-specific psychosocial support resources tailored to the unique needs of diverse youth populations.
Provide organized psychosocial support sessions tailored for children and adolescents.
Assist in fostering emotional wellness and recovery initiatives for project participants.
Facilitate training sessions focused on child protection, safeguarding, prevention of gender-based violence, and the promotion of psychosocial well-being.
Provide assistance in implementing community-driven protection measures to safeguard vulnerable populations and promote collective safety initiatives.
