Job Summary

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and directing multiple audit engagements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to Dexia Nigeria’s clients.

You will play a key role in supporting departmental objectives by assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as annual work plans, while fostering cross-departmental collaboration to advance communication and marketing initiatives.

Oversee audit engagements and conduct thorough reviews of staff work as well as the entirety of each engagement to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality.

Prepare and distribute reports in a timely manner for review by senior management.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential. Candidates must possess at least three years of relevant work experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are also required. Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices is a must.

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.

Requirements include a minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience gained post-qualification.

Qualification as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria or an equivalent professional body is required.

Candidates must meet additional qualifications, including a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in a related field, proficiency in industry-standard software tools, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and exceptional communication abilities are essential. A bachelor’s degree or higher in a pertinent discipline is required, and prior experience in a leadership or mentorship role is strongly preferred. Additionally, familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements is necessary for success in this position.

Demonstrated success in managing a portfolio of at least seven category A clients for a minimum of two consecutive years.

Exhibits a comprehensive grasp of accounting and auditing principles and regulatory frameworks.

Accumulated experience across diverse sectors and industries within the auditing field.

Exceptional abilities in both verbal and written communication, encompassing report development and compelling presentation delivery, are required.

Remaining current with evolving industry regulations, professional standards, and compliance requirements is essential to this role.

Demonstrates unwavering dedication and a documented history of outstanding professional and client service performance.

Demonstrates strong analytical skills to effectively interpret and derive meaningful insights from critical data.

Proficient in IT systems, with strong capabilities in using Caneware, Microsoft Office, and a variety of other IT applications.
