Evaluate technical submissions and deliverables related to electrical engineering from contractors to ensure compliance with specified standards and project requirements.
Verify the integrity and functionality of electrical installations, such as substations, transformers, switchgear, and power systems, to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Conduct thorough inspections, testing, and maintenance to identify potential hazards, defects, or inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions as needed. Document findings, report discrepancies, and collaborate with engineering teams to implement solutions that enhance system reliability and performance.
Responsibilities include designing, installing, and maintaining distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), cabling infrastructure, lighting systems, earthing setups, and lightning protection solutions.
Perform on-site assessments and technical evaluations to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
Ensure project milestones are met while offering expert technical evaluations to support contractor payment approvals.
Conduct thorough assessments to detect potential technical risks, instances of non-compliance, and quality-related issues.
Craft comprehensive assurance reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentoring role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ and familiarity with frameworks like Spring or Django.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Experience with database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
Professional registration, including but not limited to CORE, PE, or Cent credentials, is required.
Associate Level candidates should possess a minimum of six years of pertinent experience, whereas Consultant Level candidates must demonstrate at least twelve years of relevant expertise in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, power generation, transmission, or major infrastructure projects.
Proficient in electrical systems encompassing high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) networks, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power distribution.
Proficient in adhering to and applying IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and other relevant industry standards.
Consulting, Owner’s Engineer, EPC/EPCM, third-party inspection, project assurance, and technical audit experience are highly desirable qualifications.
Preferred certifications include any relevant industry-recognized credentials that validate expertise in specific areas, such as project management, cybersecurity, or cloud computing. Candidates holding certifications like PMP, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Compton Security+ will receive preference, though equivalent qualifications may also be considered. These credentials demonstrate a commitment to professional development and a mastery of essential skills required for the role.
Required qualifications include a PMP certification, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor accreditation, BOSH certification, active IEEE membership, Electrical Safety Certification, and Protection & Control Certification, or equivalent credentials.
