As Group Legal Counsel within the East & North Africa legal team, you will spearhead and advise on legal matters spanning designated territories, covering commercial contracts, corporate and regulatory affairs, data protection, competition law, intellectual property, sanctions and trade controls, and dispute resolution. You will collaborate closely with business and legal stakeholders to manage high-value customer and supplier agreements, strategic partnerships, corporate transactions, governance initiatives, and advisory projects.
You will join the legal team for the Customer Unit East & North Africa, reporting directly to the Head of Legal for the region. This role is based in one of the territories within the specified area.

Serve as a reliable legal advisor, offering pragmatic and strategic counsel to advance business goals and facilitate successful transaction completion.
Skilled in facilitating and guiding negotiations for intricate customer, supplier, and partnership agreements.
Analyze and evaluate legal and operational risks, implementing strategies to minimize exposure while driving organizational expansion and strategic evolution.
Provide strategic guidance on matters pertaining to corporate governance, adherence to regulatory requirements, competition law, data protection protocols, intellectual property rights, and trade control regulations.
Cultivate robust connections across diverse business units, functional areas, and global regions to encourage seamless collaboration and maintain clear, open communication.
Drive organizational growth by fostering capability development through structured coaching, mentoring, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of industry-leading best practices.

What You’ll Bring
A qualified attorney with a minimum of seven years of experience, having practiced in a prestigious law firm and/or a multinational corporate legal department.
Accomplished in navigating commercial transactions, corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and compliance obligations with a proven track record of expertise.
Demonstrated expertise in facilitating intricate contractual agreements, conducting high-stakes negotiations, and overseeing multinational business operations.
Possesses a keen understanding of business strategy alongside the capacity to mitigate legal risks while advancing commercial goals.
Effective interpersonal, persuasive, and stakeholder engagement capabilities are required.
Demonstrates the capacity to operate autonomously while effectively engaging and persuading key decision-makers across varied organizational settings.
A background in technology or telecommunications is considered beneficial.
