The Key Account Executive position is a full-time, on-site role located in both Port Harcourt and Barri, with primary responsibility for overseeing and expanding key customer accounts within the beverage industry.

This position entails crafting and implementing strategic account plans, engaging in negotiations for pricing and contractual terms, and guaranteeing product accessibility and prominence throughout designated retail locations and distribution channels.

The Key Account Executive is responsible for executing consistent customer engagements, assessing sales metrics, uncovering strategic growth avenues, and partnering with internal departments—including sales, marketing, and supply chain—to achieve volume, revenue, and distribution objectives.

This position involves continuously analyzing market trends, tracking competitor actions, and assessing consumer behavior to shape account strategies and develop effective promotional initiatives.

The Key Account Executive will generate detailed reports, ensure meticulous maintenance of account records, and facilitate trade activations and in-store execution to enhance BOGO Beverages’ market presence.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, preferably with a focus on backend or full-stack development, is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is mandatory. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles is necessary. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is preferred. Familiarity with databases, including SQL and NoSQL, and DevOps practices is also required. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are critical. Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are expected.

Extensive background in managing key accounts, driving sales initiatives, or spearheading business development efforts is essential, with a preference for experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector or the beverage industry.

Proven expertise in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including modern trade partners, distributors, and major retail accounts. Skilled in negotiation and engagement strategies to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

Proficient in evaluating sales data, market trends, and customer insights to formulate strategic account plans and achieve commercial objectives.

Proven expertise in territory planning, route-to-market implementation, and in-store activation strategies to enhance distribution networks, maximize visibility, and boost sales volumes.

Demonstrates outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal competencies, enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams and departments.

A strong capacity for organization, time management, and meticulous attention to detail, enabling effective handling of multiple accounts and competing priorities.

Familiarity with essential digital tools and CRM or sales reporting systems is required to effectively monitor performance and generate precise reports.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent level of practical experience, is required.

Experience in the Port Harcourt market and its surrounding areas is beneficial.
