Job Summary
The Risk Analyst will support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & Control in fulfilling strategic and operational responsibilities related to risk oversight throughout Total Health Trust, with potential collaboration across other entities within the Tangerine group as needed.
Oversee a range of critical duties, including the management of daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals, foster innovation, and drive continuous improvement. Supervise staff performance, provide mentorship, and address any performance-related concerns to maintain a high-performing workforce. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to track progress, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Represent the organization in internal and external meetings, acting as a liaison to build strong stakeholder relationships.
Oversee governance operations, ensuring adherence to policies and compliance standards; establish and maintain governance frameworks, structures, and processes; facilitate board and executive committee meetings, including agenda preparation and minute documentation; champion ethical decision-making and risk management practices; monitor organizational performance against governance metrics and report findings to leadership; drive continuous improvement initiatives to align with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Assist the Head of ERM & Control by contributing to the creation, oversight, and reporting of the Risk Management Framework and associated policies.
Monitor emerging issues and evolving risks to the organization by facilitating daily processes that generate management notifications.
Assist the Head of ERM & Control by contributing to the formulation and execution of risk-related policies to ensure organizational alignment and compliance.
Enhance the frameworks for identifying, evaluating (through both qualitative and quantitative methods), mitigating, and continuously overseeing risks spanning all applicable policies.
Action Plan Oversight: Track the progress of action plans to promptly detect any delays or incomplete mitigation efforts undertaken by business units.
Facilitates other duties as assigned, contributing to varied projects and initiatives that support the organization’s overarching objectives. Engages in cross-functional collaboration to enhance operational efficiency and address evolving business needs. Participates in strategic planning sessions and team meetings to ensure alignment with company goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Assist the Head of ERM & Control in crafting the Risk Appetite Framework by establishing tolerance thresholds, escalation thresholds, and monitoring liquidity risk alongside investment portfolio alignment.
Oversee the submission of loss reports from Champions and correspondents while tracking the progression and completion of corrective measures.
Support process owners in developing, reviewing, and executing Business Impact Analysis (BIA) processes, ensuring consistency and obtaining approval for BIA questionnaires. Additionally, compile and consolidate BIA reports for final validation by the BCM Sponsor and the Head of ERM & Control.
Support the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Control in maintaining alignment between Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and approved strategies, as well as conducting tests of BCPs and the Crisis Communication Plan in accordance with the Operational Resilience Policy.
Facilitate proactive crisis management efforts by maintaining operational readiness and ensuring swift, effective responses to potential disruptions.
Develop and oversee the Key Risk Indicators (KAI) dashboard to generate timely early warnings for potential risks.
Assist the Head of ERM & Control by participating in the development and evaluation of models to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness.
Perform in-depth evaluations of potential risks within all business segments to detect and analyze emerging threats systematically.
Ensure accurate categorization and prioritization of risks in alignment with the organization’s established risk appetite and strategic business objectives.
Conduct training initiatives aimed at fostering heightened risk awareness and cultivating a risk-aware organizational culture throughout the company.
Experts in risk management are responsible for instructing Champions and stakeholders on the methodologies and resources integral to risk-related processes.
Perform in-depth evaluations of potential risks within each business unit to proactively detect and analyze emerging threats to organizational stability.
Responsible for directing the incident management framework, guaranteeing that incidents are documented, analyzed, and resolved in a timely manner.
Perform comprehensive root cause analyses on critical incidents and propose corrective actions to mitigate future occurrences.
Work collaboratively with various business units to develop, execute, and oversee risk mitigation strategies and initiatives.
Contribute to advancing risk management innovation by assisting the Head of ERM & Control, utilizing technology and data analytics to enhance strategic initiatives.
Assist the Head of ERM & Control by evaluating the organization’s risk management practices in comparison to industry benchmarks and leading methodologies.
Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, promptly elevating any issues or concerns to appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
Assist the Head of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) & Control in organizing and executing stress tests and scenario analyses, thereby assessing the organization’s resilience in challenging conditions.

Oversee and analyze operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while maintaining meticulous records of all activities. Monthly, you will be required to submit updates on action plans, as provided by the first line, to the Head of ERM & Control.
Conduct and consolidate the annual Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for every team to ensure comprehensive evaluation and alignment with organizational objectives.
Prepare quarterly risk reports, ensuring comprehensive consolidation of risk data for accurate and timely submission.
Quarterly oversight and reporting of risk appetite metrics are required.
Conduct quarterly assessments of liquidity and investment portfolio performance. Additionally, undertake other responsibilities as delegated by the Head of ERM & Control within the ERM & Control team.
Minimum educational attainment includes a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Essential prerequisites encompass at least two years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are necessary. Excellent communication and organizational skills are expected. Familiarity with project management methodologies is advantageous. The ability to work independently and collaboratively is essential.
Familiarity with the financial services industry or HMO operations would be beneficial.

Professional certifications in Risk, Financial Modelling, or Data Analytics will be considered advantageous.
