The Regulatory Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining full regulatory compliance for Slam Agra’s wheat milling and pasta products across all operational stages, including manufacturing, sourcing, import/export, labeling, and commercialization. Serving as the primary regulatory liaison, the position bridges internal teams such as Operations, QA, R&D, and Sales with external authorities, anticipating compliance risks and fostering sustainable business expansion.

Key Deliverables

Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and oversees governance frameworks to mitigate risks and maintain organizational integrity. Develops, implements, and monitors policies and procedures in alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices. Conducts audits, assesses compliance gaps, and recommends corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory alignment. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.

Maintain adherence to all applicable animal feed regulations across local, regional, and international jurisdictions, including but not limited to Nigeria’s NAFDAC and SON, the European Commission (EC), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Codex Alimentary standards, GMP+, and FAMINES.

Interpret both new and existing regulations pertinent to wheat milling and the ingredients, additives, and premixes used in pasta production.

Design, execute, and oversee regulatory compliance frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal policies to ensure organizational adherence to applicable laws and standards.

Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of product registration and securing necessary approvals, this role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and facilitates timely market entry for products. Duties include preparing and submitting registration documentation, liaising with regulatory authorities, and maintaining meticulous records of approval statuses. Additionally, the position requires staying informed of evolving regulatory requirements, coordinating with cross-functional teams to address submission queries, and providing updates to stakeholders on registration progress. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in regulatory guidelines, and exceptional organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Oversee the entire process of product registrations, licensing, and renewal submissions for wheat milling and pasta products, as well as raw materials.

Prepare, assemble, and submit regulatory packages, including dossiers, technical documentation, and certificates, ensuring all materials meet compliance standards and submission requirements.

Oversee the approval process for ingredients, ensure compliance of feed additives, and monitor permissible usage levels.

Ensure adherence to all applicable certification standards, including ISO 22000:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.

Deliver comprehensive regulatory training programs tailored to internal stakeholders’ needs.

Engage actively in pertinent professional associations and industry events, such as MAN and AF BTE, as needed.

Remaining current with evolving regulatory standards and amendments at both national and international levels.

Drives organizational success through the development and execution of strategic initiatives that align with overarching business goals, ensuring long-term growth and competitive advantage. Analyzes market trends, competitive landscapes, and internal capabilities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks. Collaborates with senior leadership to refine and prioritize strategic objectives, translating high-level visions into actionable plans. Monitors key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies, proposing adjustments as necessary to sustain progress. Provides data-driven insights and recommendations to inform decision-making processes across departments. Fosters a culture of strategic thinking and accountability, empowering teams to contribute to the organization’s mission. Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in strategic planning or a comparable role. Proficiency in data analysis tools and strong leadership skills are essential.

Performing comprehensive regulatory risk evaluations and developing corresponding mitigation strategies to address potential compliance gaps and operational vulnerabilities.

Oversee the processing of electronic submissions through government applications such as Nepal and NAPALMS.

Coordinate and oversee communications with regulatory bodies throughout the review phases to facilitate the prompt issuance of certificates.

Oversee the administration of product registrations and renewal processes.

Ensure adherence to all labeling and packaging regulations and standards.

Oversee the organization and upkeep of all regulatory files and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements.

Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams, including R&D, Production, Quality, and Engineering, to facilitate the prompt resolution of feedback.

Interpret and convey regulatory mandates to key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and compliance with applicable guidelines.

Engage in discussions with regulatory bodies to address and settle any outstanding matters or disputes.

Contribute to internal audits and quality inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.

Instigate corrective measures and implement proactive strategies to prevent potential issues.

Seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field. Education
