This position assists the commercial team by overseeing project cost management, performance metrics, valuations, and subcontractor coordination for ongoing road construction projects.
The ideal candidate will undertake quantity take-offs, perform precise site measurements, provide interim valuation support, track variations, assist with subcontractor payments, and compile cost reports, all under the guidance of the Senior Project Quantity Surveyor.
Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Quantity Surveying is required.
With a minimum of eight years of hands-on experience in quantity surveying within the realm of road or civil infrastructure projects, candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in delivering accurate cost assessments and financial management throughout project lifecycles.
Accomplished professionals with extensive expertise in measurement practices, meticulous Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation, and robust valuation support are encouraged to apply.
Seasoned professionals with a strong background in verifying subcontractor payments and overseeing variation management will find this role particularly well-suited. Candidates should possess hands-on experience in certifying subcontractor invoices and effectively handling contractual changes to ensure compliance and financial accuracy.
Proficiency in cost reporting and project commercial control is required.
Proficient in analyzing engineering drawings to accurately determine measurements.
NILS registration or eligibility for candidate membership is highly beneficial.
