Key Responsibilities
Responsible for operating diesel and petrol generators in a safe and efficient manner.
Oversee generator operations to guarantee consistent power availability and evaluate system performance.
Perform regular assessments and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure optimal functionality and reliability of equipment.
Regularly check and maintain appropriate levels of fuel, oil, coolant, and battery to ensure optimal vehicle performance and reliability.
Diligently document all generator operations, fuel consumption levels, and maintenance interventions to ensure comprehensive and precise records are maintained.
Quickly detect and communicate any mechanical or electrical malfunctions as they occur.
Collaborate with technicians to oversee repair work and execute major maintenance initiatives effectively.
Maintain adherence to established safety protocols and operational standards at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the generator room and its adjacent areas.
Respond swiftly to power outages and equipment-related emergencies to ensure minimal disruption and maintain operational safety.

A minimum of five years in a related field is essential, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum educational requirement includes a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or an equivalent technical qualification.
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in the operation of industrial or commercial generators is required.
