Job Summary
The Programs Intern will assist the Programs Team with administrative and operational tasks while gaining practical exposure to NGO program execution, progress tracking, reporting mechanisms, and community outreach initiatives.
Oversee a range of critical duties, including managing project timelines, coordinating team efforts, and ensuring deliverables meet established standards. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive organizational growth. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives and foster a cohesive working environment. Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain clear communication channels to keep stakeholders informed of progress and address any concerns promptly. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices to mitigate risks and uphold accountability.
Support the development and execution of program initiatives.
Assist with the compilation, input, and evaluation of data for active initiatives.
Assist in the development of reports, presentations, and program documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist with the planning and coordination of training sessions, workshops, and community engagement activities.
Perform foundational research and curate supporting data to strengthen proposals.
Facilitate field visits and beneficiary interactions as needed.
Execute a variety of administrative tasks in support of the Programs Team.
Maintain program files and records.
Seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of progressive experience in a comparable role. Strong proficiency in project management methodologies and tools is essential, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities. The ideal applicant will demonstrate expertise in strategic planning, budget oversight, and team coordination while maintaining a results-driven approach. Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards is required, and prior experience in a supervisory capacity is highly preferred.
A degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, or a related discipline—whether at the undergraduate level or recently completed—is required.
