Define the test scope, outline the approach, ensure traceability, and assess the feasibility of automation. Develop and implement a well-structured, efficient test strategy.
Design, develop, and oversee structured test cases, scenarios, checklists, and test suites for both manual and automated testing. Additionally, create and maintain test data to ensure precise validation.
Conduct comprehensive end-to-end, integration, regression, sanity, UAT, and performance testing, both manually and through automation. Implement test cases following a prioritized execution flow to ensure thorough validation.
Create scenario-based checklists to enhance the efficiency of test execution preparation.
Prepare, document, and track requirement-related issues by maintaining the issue log.
Responsibilities include evaluating products by adhering to user stories and conducting comprehensive application testing across the user interface (UI) and back end. This entails verifying the application’s functionality, performance, and security standards.
Develop and maintain automated test cases and frameworks, ensuring their integrity and efficiency. Implement automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to facilitate ongoing quality assessments, thereby supporting continuous delivery and deployment practices.
Defect Management: Responsibilities include detecting, verifying, documenting, and monitoring defects with precise descriptions and severity classifications. Additionally, evaluate issues and gaps while proposing potential enhancements throughout the testing phases.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation of test strategies, test cases, and results. Additionally, draft daily, status, and progress reports as required. Evaluate specifications to ensure completeness and accuracy, and assess their suitability for automation.
Maintain and update automated test suites to ensure they remain accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with evolving product requirements.
Collaborate effectively with development teams by reviewing requirements and design documentation, providing expert guidance on testing strategies, and proactively identifying areas with heightened risk or potential for defects.
Seeking a highly skilled professional with a minimum of five years of experience in a related field. Must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline, along with professional certifications that demonstrate expertise. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Candidates should exhibit a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements is a must. Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role is preferred but not mandatory.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline is required.
With a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in software testing, IT quality assurance, business analysis, or product management following graduation, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in these areas.
Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies, as well as the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), is required.
Proficiency in Selenium with Java is a prerequisite for this role. Candidates must also demonstrate experience with at least one additional automation framework, such as Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
Proficient in transforming manual testing procedures into automated scripts and resolving issues with meticulous precision.
