Job Description
Responsible for identifying, assessing, and engaging dependable suppliers while maintaining strict adherence to food safety standards throughout the onboarding process.
Negotiation & Contracting: Engage in strategic discussions with suppliers to finalize terms, pricing, and payment arrangements, ensuring optimal cost-efficiency for ingredients and packaging.
Inventory & Demand Planning: Track raw material stock levels in real time, collaborating with production teams to project demand accurately and prevent any potential material shortages.
Conduct ongoing research to monitor evolving market trends, fluctuations in commodity prices—such as those for agricultural products—and supplier performance, ensuring that procurement choices are grounded in robust, data-informed insights.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance personnel to verify that all incoming raw materials comply with established company standards.
Process purchase orders (POs) with precision, validate invoices for correctness, and ensure procurement records are maintained accurately.
Seeking a qualified candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, along with proficiency in industry-specific software and exceptional analytical skills. The ideal applicant must demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is mandatory, and advanced certifications or specialized training are highly advantageous. Additionally, the role demands meticulous attention to detail, adaptability to evolving business needs, and a commitment to continuous professional development. Prior leadership experience is preferred, as is a proven track record of delivering measurable results under tight deadlines.
A minimum of four years’ procurement experience within a manufacturing environment, complemented by a degree in Management or Supply Chain, is required.
Exceptional proficiency in negotiation and analytical reasoning is essential.
