Our client, a prestigious fine dining establishment in Lagos, seeks a seasoned Restaurant Manager with a proven track record of excellence, refined standards, and meticulous attention to detail. This opportunity is reserved for a seasoned professional, not an entry-level candidate. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership at a high level and possess an innate understanding of the critical elements required to consistently exceed guest expectations.

Professional experience in overseeing a full-service fine dining establishment is a prerequisite for consideration. Candidates lacking this background should refrain from submitting their applications.

What you will do:

Ensure flawless, high-caliber front-of-house service across every seating to maintain operational excellence.

Direct the service team, ensuring they adhere to exacting standards in behavior, appearance, and execution through leadership, mentorship, and accountability.

Oversee reservations, floor plans, and guest movement with precision and professionalism.

Manage high-profile guest interactions, address complaints, and fulfill special requests with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain uniformity in timing, plating excellence, and menu expertise throughout the staff.

Collaborate closely with the accountant to manage and optimize the restaurant’s financial performance, encompassing budgeting, cost control measures, profit and loss oversight, and revenue reporting.

Oversee expenditures related to food and beverage, monitor inventory levels, minimize waste, and conduct supplier negotiations.

To ensure alignment with established targets, oversee the administration of payroll, staff scheduling, and labor cost management.

Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene protocols across all operations without exception.

You will provide direct reporting to the ownership regarding financial performance, staffing needs, and operational priorities.

What we are looking for:

With a minimum of five years of leadership experience in fine dining or upscale full-service restaurant management, particularly within Lagos Island, you will bring a wealth of expertise to this role.

Demonstrates an extensive understanding of gastronomy, oenology, and the elevated protocols of fine dining service.

Demonstrated success in assembling, guiding, motivating, and cultivating a high-performing professional service team.

Proven expertise in financial management, encompassing budget development, cost control strategies, and comprehensive profit and loss analysis.

Outstanding abilities in interpersonal relations and both written and spoken communication.

Demonstrates exceptional precision in service delivery, presentation standards, guest interactions, and all reporting responsibilities.

Exhibits exceptional composure amid high-stakes situations while demonstrating astute decision-making and adept problem-solving skills.

Skilled in utilizing restaurant point-of-sale systems and operational reporting software with expertise and efficiency.
