JOB SUMMARY
The Facility Officer will oversee the daily operations, upkeep, and functionality of the hospital’s physical infrastructure, equipment, and utilities, guaranteeing that all facilities meet safety standards, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while fostering an environment conducive to delivering exceptional healthcare. This role includes coordinating both routine and scheduled maintenance to sustain the hospital’s amenities and systems, ensuring seamless functionality and adherence to all applicable guidelines.
Performs a range of duties including planning, organizing, and implementing projects to meet established goals. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Analyzes data, identifies trends, and prepares reports to support decision-making processes. Maintains compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Participates in meetings, presents findings, and offers recommendations to senior management. Develops and implements strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Ensures proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with company standards.
The role involves assisting the facility manager by overseeing and facilitating both regular and scheduled maintenance of the hospital’s infrastructure and amenities to ensure optimal functionality and upkeep.
Oversee unplanned maintenance, repair, and recovery operations for the facility, with a primary focus on HVAC systems.
Oversee the completion of contracted work, verifying that all agreed-upon deliverables are executed to the required standards and promptly addressing any identified deficiencies.
To assist the facility manager in addressing concerns related to ASH (Occupational Health and Safety) infection control policies, waste management protocols, and other essential facility health and safety regulations.
Compile weekly and monthly reports detailing facility operations, promptly identifying and communicating Occupational Safety and Health (ASH) hazards, incidents, near-miss events, and providing necessary support. Additionally, draft comprehensive risk assessments and prepare detailed incident reports as required.
Handle emergency situations and urgent issues promptly and effectively, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to mitigate risks and maintain safety.
Maintain comprehensive records of complaints, responses, and response times, documenting any replaced failing components along with the associated costs incurred.
The Facility Manager will receive dedicated assistance to uphold the ongoing maintenance and strategic long-term planning and enhancement of the facility and its management system.
