A seasoned Group Treasurer is sought to oversee treasury functions for a diversified group encompassing insurance, health, and financial services businesses.
This senior position will report directly to the Group Managing Director and oversee treasury strategy, liquidity management, investment oversight, and financial risk management for all entities.
Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, including the management of day-to-day operations to ensure seamless workflows, the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth, the oversight of team performance to maintain productivity and accountability, the coordination of cross-functional projects to align resources and objectives, and the analysis of performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, the role involves fostering a collaborative work environment, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations, and representing the organization at key meetings and events to enhance its reputation and stakeholder relations.
Formulate and execute comprehensive treasury policies and governance frameworks applicable across the entire organization.
Oversee the distribution of liquidity and capital resources among various subsidiaries to ensure optimal financial positioning and strategic allocation.
Direct oversight of investment strategy formulation and portfolio management initiatives is required.
Monitor and assess exposure to interest rate, foreign exchange, credit, and liquidity risks while implementing strategies to mitigate potential threats to financial stability.
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with banking institutions, financial organizations, and capital market stakeholders to align with organizational objectives.
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory standards mandated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the National Insurance Commission (NICOL), and the National Health Insurance Authority (CHIA).
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is a must, and excellent communication abilities—both written and verbal—are critical for success in this role. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to evolving business needs.
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field is required.
CFA, ACT, or ICAN certification must be obtained as a prerequisite for this role.
We seek candidates with a decade and a half to two decades of hands-on experience in treasury operations or financial leadership roles.
Proven track record in the financial services, insurance, banking, or healthcare financing industries is essential.
