The Medical Officer/Practice Manager will deliver clinical and operational leadership to the GIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) service line and other women’s health services at Nordic.

This position integrates patient consultations and clinical coordination with practice management duties to maintain efficient service delivery, foster exceptional patient experiences, and uphold operational excellence.

Oversee critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals through meticulous planning and execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive measurable outcomes. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices that maintain high standards of compliance and performance. Monitor progress through data analysis, identifying trends and areas for improvement to optimize workflows. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous development by providing guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to team members.

Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations and provide evidence-based treatments for patients, ensuring adherence to established medical protocols and ethical standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing both acute and chronic health conditions. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and institutional guidelines. Participate in continuing education to stay current with advancements in medical practices and deliver high-quality patient care. Perform comprehensive patient consultations, conduct detailed assessments, and carry out follow-up evaluations for women experiencing fibroids and other gynecological conditions.

Facilitate the thorough assessment and selection of suitable patients for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (GIFU) and other minimally invasive treatment modalities.

Examine imaging studies, laboratory results, and patient medical histories in conjunction with consulting specialists.

Deliver comprehensive patient education and counseling on treatment options, anticipated outcomes, and recovery processes.

Facilitate the implementation and management of clinical care pathways for both pre-procedure and post-procedure phases.

Ensure meticulous accuracy in clinical documentation and electronic medical records.

Engage in clinical audits, contribute to case discussions, and lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards.

GIFU Service Support involves providing technical assistance and guidance for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (GIFU) systems, ensuring optimal performance and user proficiency. Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting routine maintenance, and delivering training sessions to healthcare professionals on system operation and safety protocols. Requirements typically encompass a strong background in medical technology, hands-on experience with GIFU devices, and proficiency in customer service to address client inquiries effectively. Additionally, familiarity with regulatory standards for medical equipment and the ability to perform detailed diagnostic assessments are often necessary.

Responsibilities include organizing and managing the scheduling and operational workflow for High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (GIFU) procedures to ensure efficiency and timely execution.

Facilitate seamless collaboration and effective information exchange among physicians, nursing teams, radiology technicians, and administrative personnel.

Oversee patient experience and guarantee the seamless continuity of care throughout each individual’s treatment journey.

Provide support in monitoring and documenting patient progress and outcomes, as well as compiling and presenting related reports.

Assist in the development and execution of awareness initiatives, patient seminars, and educational programs focused on GIFU services.

Oversee the operational functions of the practice, ensuring efficient workflows, adherence to regulatory standards, and alignment with strategic objectives. Manage staff performance, including recruitment, training, and evaluation, while fostering a productive and compliant work environment. Coordinate financial operations by monitoring budgets, controlling expenses, and optimizing revenue cycles to support sustainable growth. Implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, administrative teams, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.

Manage the clinic’s or service line’s daily operational functions to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.

Oversee the efficient management of patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and service delivery to maintain seamless operational workflows.

Facilitate the execution of operational policies and clinical protocols.

Coordinate staff schedules and provide assistance with performance monitoring as needed.

Responsible for tracking inventory levels and managing the procurement process for clinical consumables and supplies.

Facilitate billing coordination, maintain reporting accuracy, and monitor key operational performance indicators to support data-driven decision-making processes.

Conduct and facilitate research initiatives to advance organizational objectives and contribute to knowledge development.

Ensure adherence to all healthcare regulations, quality standards, and patient care protocols to maintain operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, preferably holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) are required. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous learning are also necessary.

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent medical qualification, accompanied by full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, is required.

Minimum of four years of clinical experience following the completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYC) program is required.

Candidates with prior experience or demonstrated interest in women’s health, fertility, radiology, or minimally invasive procedures will be given preference.

Desired qualifications include prior involvement in healthcare operations or practice management.
