Evaluate electrical engineering deliverables and technical submissions prepared by contractors to ensure adherence to specified standards and requirements.

Verify the integrity of electrical installations such as substations, transformers, switchgear, and power systems to ensure they meet regulatory standards and operational specifications. Conduct thorough inspections, tests, and assessments to confirm proper functioning, safety compliance, and efficiency. Identify any discrepancies or potential hazards and document findings with detailed reports. Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend corrective actions or upgrades when necessary. Maintain accurate records of all evaluations and ensure adherence to industry best practices and safety protocols throughout the process.

Design, construct, and maintain distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), cabling infrastructure, lighting setups, earthing systems, and lightning protection systems.

Perform comprehensive site inspections and technical audits to verify adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Evaluate project advancement and contribute technical expertise to the certification of contractor payments.

Analyze potential technical risks, assess any deviations from standards, and evaluate quality-related issues to ensure compliance and performance excellence.

Develop and deliver comprehensive assurance reports, accompanied by strategic recommendations, to enhance organizational performance and risk management.

As a candidate, you must possess prior experience in a comparable role, along with proficiency in relevant software tools and methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, alongside excellent communication and organizational skills. A degree in a related field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience may be considered. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards is also required. Additionally, you should demonstrate the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related field is required.

Professional registration with a recognized body, including CORE, PE, Cent, or an equivalent credential, is required.

Associate Level candidates must possess a minimum of six years of pertinent experience, while Consultant Level applicants are required to have at least twelve years of relevant expertise in industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, power generation, transmission, or major infrastructure projects.

Proficient in electrical systems encompassing high-voltage (HV), medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) networks, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and power distribution.

Skilled in applying IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and other relevant industry standards.

Consulting, Owner’s Engineer, EPC/EPCM, third-party inspection, project assurance, or technical audit experience would be highly advantageous.

Certifications of preference include professional designations such as PMP, CISSP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, among others relevant to the role. Candidates should possess these credentials or be actively pursuing them to demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and industry standards. Such certifications validate expertise, enhance professional credibility, and often align with the technical or leadership competencies required for the position.

Requirements include holding a PMP certification, serving as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, possessing a BOSH qualification, maintaining IEEE membership, and holding certifications in Electrical Safety and Protection & Control— or an equivalent credential.
