Job Summary
The Junior Fiber Backhaul Engineer ensures the physical and logical integrity of the fiber network infrastructure, which links core sites to distribution nodes.
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals, lead cross-functional teams to drive project execution, and develop strategic initiatives that enhance productivity and innovation. Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and implement policies that support sustainable growth, monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous development. Additionally, manage stakeholder relationships to facilitate seamless communication and partnership, ensuring all projects meet deadlines and budgetary constraints while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Provide assistance in the installation and upkeep of fiber optic cabling as well as its related distribution infrastructure.
Employ tools such as Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (ODR) to diagnose and pinpoint fiber breaks or signal degradation.
Provide support for fiber optic splicing tasks, site preparation efforts, and infrastructure documentation related to upcoming expansion initiatives.
Assess environmental conditions at distant locations to identify potential risks to fiber performance.
Seeking a candidate with a robust background in strategic planning, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. The ideal applicant will possess strong project management expertise, with a track record of delivering results under tight deadlines. Must demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
