Job Summary
The Inventory Officer/Cost Controller will oversee stock movement tracking, uphold inventory precision, manage cost controls, and maintain comprehensive records of all inventory-related activities within the store.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure organizational goals are met with precision and efficiency. Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance productivity, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all functional areas. Collaborate closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to align initiatives with long-term objectives, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence. Monitor key performance indicators, assess progress against benchmarks, and provide actionable insights to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and sustain competitive advantage. Serve as a primary liaison for stakeholders, facilitating transparent communication, resolving escalated issues, and cultivating partnerships to support sustainable growth and operational resilience. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal governance frameworks while promoting a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
Daily monitoring and tracking of inventory levels are required to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Perform routine stock counts and reconcile discrepancies to ensure accurate inventory records.
Accurately document and authenticate all incoming stock deliveries, inter-facility transfers, and outgoing inventory dispatches.
Examine discrepancies within inventory records and prepare detailed reports outlining any variances observed.
Compile and present inventory and cost control reports with precision, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels and expenditures.
Verify adherence to established inventory management protocols and internal control measures.
Partner with procurement, operations, and management teams to ensure stock levels remain balanced and efficient at all times.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; 3+ years of relevant experience in software development; proficiency in languages like Java, Python, or C++; familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure; strong problem-solving skills coupled with excellent communication abilities.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent discipline is required.
Seeking a candidate with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in inventory management, stock control, or cost control, ideally within the Food & Beverage sector.
Demonstrates advanced skills in utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning and quantitative analysis.
Proven ability to manage intricate details with precision and maintain exceptional organizational standards.
Maintains a high standard of ethical conduct and assumes responsibility for actions and decisions. Demonstrates unwavering reliability and transparency in all professional interactions.
Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication, along with the ability to prepare accurate and concise reports.
