Oversee and execute critical responsibilities encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives forward. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with business goals. Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance efficiency and productivity. Lead initiatives to optimize resource allocation, mitigate risks, and foster innovation within the team. Prepare and present detailed reports to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and actionable recommendations.

Oversee and direct the import documentation team, ensuring all processes and procedures are carried out efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Guarantee adherence to Nigerian Customs regulations and all applicable statutory requirements.

Responsible for meticulously reviewing and granting final approval for Form M, PAIR, SO NCAP, and all associated documentation.

Develop and enhance documentation processes and internal control systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with organizational standards.

Collaborate with regulatory authorities, financial institutions, and governmental bodies to ensure compliance and facilitate seamless communication.

Prepare detailed reports summarizing import activities for review by senior management.

Provide guidance and support to junior employees to foster their professional development.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in disciplines such as Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration, or a comparable field is required.

With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in import documentation, including at least two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity, the ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of managing complex compliance processes and guiding teams through regulatory requirements.

Accomplished leadership capabilities and sound judgment are essential for successfully guiding teams and making critical decisions.

Proficiency in Nigerian import regulations, encompassing comprehensive understanding of applicable laws, tariffs, and procedural requirements, is essential.
