Oversee a range of critical duties and responsibilities that drive operational excellence and ensure organizational success. Install, configure, monitor, and maintain local area networks (LAN’s), wide area networks (WAN’s), routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and virtual private networks (VPNs) to ensure optimal performance and security.
Ensure consistent and reliable network connectivity for the head office, all branch locations, the data center, and remote users.
Monitor network performance metrics, including uptime, bandwidth utilization, and service availability, to ensure optimal system operation and reliability.
Diagnose and remediate network-related issues while delivering expert technical assistance to end-users.
Provide technical support for servers, backup systems, email systems, internet services, and core banking connectivity.
Design, deploy, and oversee network security measures, including access controls, patch management, and vulnerability mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities include preserving accurate network documentation, managing asset records, tracking IP allocations, overseeing software licenses, and safeguarding configuration backups.
Act as the primary point of contact and collaborate with internet service providers, vendors, and IT service partners to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
Relevant certifications, including CCNA, CCNP, Compton Network+, Security+, Fortinet, Azure, AWS, or ITIL, are highly advantageous for candidates to possess.
Requires a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in network administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations.
Proficiency in banking, fintech, financial services, or a regulated environment is considered beneficial.
Proficient in routing, switching, firewall management, VPN configurations, network monitoring, cybersecurity practices, and backup system administration.
