Job Summary:

The Insurance & Claims Officer will oversee the coordination and administration of all corporate insurance policies, guaranteeing timely renewals, accurate documentation, and streamlined claim processing. This position requires collaboration with insurance brokers and providers to secure optimal coverage and expedite claim resolutions in alignment with organizational objectives.

Oversee a range of critical duties including managing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality. Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and foster a collaborative work environment. Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations to drive individual and collective success. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align initiatives, resolve challenges, and achieve organizational goals. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data, and report progress to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.

Maintain a current and comprehensive inventory of all organizational insurance policies, including but not limited to motor, plant & machinery, contractors’ all-risk, and group life coverage.

Monitor policy expiration dates rigorously and coordinate timely renewals to prevent any gaps in coverage.

Collaborate effectively with insurance brokers and carriers to facilitate the procurement, renewal, and modification of insurance policies and endorsements.

Coordinate and oversee all insurance claims to guarantee their timely processing and resolution. Ensure consistent follow-up and adherence to established procedures throughout each stage of the claims’ lifecycle.

Collect and provide all necessary documentation for claims, including incident reports, photographs, and repair estimates.

Regularly track and assess the progress of claims, then communicate comprehensive status updates to management in a timely manner.

Maintain organized and readily accessible records of all insurance certificates and related documents to ensure compliance and facilitate quick retrieval when needed.

Provide project teams with comprehensive assistance in managing insurance documentation and ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance standards.

Examine insurance policies to verify they comply with company operations and contractual requirements, ensuring all terms and conditions are met accordingly.

Aid in confirming insurance prerequisites within contracts and agreements.

Prepare and submit comprehensive, periodic reports detailing insurance coverage status, policy renewals, and claims progress to stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, including proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications, with a strong understanding of system architecture and cloud technologies.

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and incident response procedures.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems and optimize application performance.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers.

• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and adhering to best practices in security, testing, and documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable discipline is required.

Seeking a candidate with one to three years of hands-on experience in insurance administration, claims processing, or a comparable professional capacity.

Proficiency in collaborating with insurance brokers or firms represents a valuable asset for this role.

Professionals should possess a foundational knowledge of corporate insurance policies, including motor, asset, and project-related coverage options.
