The Hospitalist oversees the comprehensive management of hospitalized patients, guiding them from admission to discharge. Responsibilities
Deliver holistic medical management for inpatients, ensuring thorough assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuous monitoring throughout their hospital stay.
Perform comprehensive initial evaluations of patients, formulate individualized treatment strategies, and oversee continuous healthcare management.
Perform daily ward rounds and meticulously record clinical observations.
Evaluate patient progress on an ongoing basis and modify treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal care and outcomes.
Oversee the treatment of acute illnesses, the management of chronic disease exacerbations, and post-operative medical care.
Act swiftly and decisively when responding to urgent situations involving inpatients or signs of clinical decline.
Promote the implementation of evidence-based clinical practices and ensure strict adherence to established protocols.
Responsible for managing all admission-related procedures, which encompass administrative tasks and record-keeping responsibilities.
Conduct daily ward rounds and verify comprehensive, prompt reviews of all patients.
Facilitate discharge planning to guarantee secure and efficient transitions of care.
Draft discharge summaries, prescriptions, and follow-up care plans with precision and clarity.
Work alongside healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health staff, to deliver coordinated patient care and achieve optimal health outcomes.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless referrals and consultations.
Facilitate seamless transitions of care across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings to maintain consistency and quality throughout the patient journey.
Engage in collaborative, cross-functional case evaluations and strategic discussions to ensure comprehensive analysis and alignment among team members.
Formulate scientifically validated protocols and guidelines, then instruct medical officers and nursing staff in their practical implementation within patient care settings.
Comply with established clinical protocols, guidelines, and evidence-based practices to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
Contribute to ongoing quality enhancement projects and systematic clinical evaluations to ensure adherence to established standards.
Monitor and evaluate quality improvement initiatives and patient safety indicators, such as medication errors, hospital readmissions, and adverse events, to ensure adherence to established standards and protocols.
Maintain adherence to established infection prevention and control protocols to safeguard public health and uphold regulatory requirements.
Document clinical incidents and engage in comprehensive root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying factors contributing to adverse events.
Ensure medical records are maintained with precision, completeness, and punctuality.
Effectively convey information about diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses to patients and their families with clarity and empathy.
Facilitate comprehensive and transparent handovers at the conclusion of each shift to ensure continuity and clarity of information.
Facilitate adherence to accreditation standards, such as those outlined by the Joint Commission International, ensuring organizational compliance and excellence.
Ensure transparent and compassionate communication with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment strategies, and expected outcomes.

Facilitate seamless patient transitions from admission through discharge.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role, along with proficiency in relevant software applications. The ideal applicant must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Additionally, the position demands a detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy in all tasks and responsibilities. Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards is required to maintain operational excellence. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Hold an accredited medical degree, specifically an MBBS or its equivalent, from a recognized institution.
Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYC) program is a prerequisite for this position.
Minimum of five to seven years of clinical experience is required.
Holds a current, unrestricted medical license, enabling the practice of medicine within the applicable jurisdiction.
Exceptional proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic evaluation is required.
Proficient in advanced life support techniques is a mandatory requirement.
Proficient in the use of computers and related software applications is essential.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with well-developed interpersonal competencies, are essential for this role.
