Job Description
A highly proficient and seasoned HVAC VRV/VRF Technician is being sought to undertake the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of VRV/VRF air conditioning systems within residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties, including but not limited to project management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and industry standards while maintaining a keen focus on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Facilitate communication between departments to align goals, resolve challenges, and optimize workflows. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and achieve key milestones. Additionally, provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members to foster a culture of growth and accountability.
Install, commission, and maintain state-of-the-art VRV/VRF HVAC systems to ensure peak performance and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include precise system installation, thorough commissioning procedures, and ongoing maintenance to uphold reliability and extend equipment lifespan. Proficient troubleshooting and adherence to manufacturer specifications are essential to deliver optimal climate control solutions.
Diagnose system malfunctions and execute corrective maintenance procedures as required.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and carry out regular inspections to ensure optimal system functionality and reliability.
Execute refrigerant charging procedures, conduct leak detection assessments, and perform pressure testing in accordance with industry standards.
Maintain precise documentation of all service and maintenance activities to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date records are available for review and compliance purposes.
The ideal candidate must fulfill specific qualifications, including a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, alongside proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The position requires adherence to strict confidentiality protocols and a commitment to upholding ethical standards in all professional interactions.
Applicants must hold an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) qualification and demonstrate at least three years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, or servicing of VRV/VRF systems.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems, their controls, and diagnostic methodologies.
Proficiency in servicing and maintaining HVAC systems from renowned manufacturers, including Dakin, LG, Samsung, Mitsubishi Electric, and other industry-leading brands, is essential.
Proficient in analyzing and comprehending technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in diagnosing technical issues and developing effective solutions with efficiency and accuracy.
A relevant HVAC certification will be considered an additional benefit.
