Introduction

The Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria (ASSUAN) is a non-governmental, non-profit alliance comprising organizations united by a common vision of transforming Nigeria into a nation where all citizens enjoy food security and proper nutrition. To achieve this ambitious objective, ASSUAN collaborates with government and non-state stakeholders to foster awareness, maintain commitment, and drive effective action in addressing under-nutrition across the country.

ASSUAN serves as the Nigerian Civil Society Alliance (CSA) within the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) global movement, established on the foundational belief that access to food and proper nutrition is a fundamental right. Since Nigeria’s integration into the global movement in 2011, the CSA branch, ASSUAN, was established in November 2013 in Florin, Kara State, before being formally launched on August 7, 2014.

ASSUAN welcomes bids from qualified and experienced vendors to provide hybrid solar power systems complete with lithium battery storage, along with their installation and commissioning.

Scope of Work

The chosen vendor(s) will be tasked with providing the following services:

Deliver fully integrated hybrid solar power systems, designed to operate efficiently at either 20KVA or 30KVA capacities, ensuring optimal energy performance and reliability.

Develop and implement advanced storage systems tailored for lithium batteries, ensuring optimal safety, efficiency, and performance.

Perform complete installation procedures and system integration tasks.

Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems and equipment meet specified performance standards and operational requirements.

Deliver user training sessions and develop supporting documentation as required.

Provide ongoing post-sale assistance and warranty-related services to ensure customer satisfaction and product reliability.

Technical Requirements include proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools such as Pandas and NumPy, along with experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Google Cloud, is essential, as is the ability to work with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark. A strong grasp of data visualization tools, including Matplotlib and Tableau, is also required. Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are imperative.

A 20KVA hybrid solar system integrates renewable energy with grid connectivity to deliver reliable, uninterrupted power. The system is designed to operate seamlessly during grid outages or periods of low solar generation by utilizing stored energy in batteries. Key components include high-efficiency solar panels, a hybrid inverter with bidirectional capabilities, and a battery management system to optimize energy flow. This setup ensures cost savings by reducing dependence on grid electricity while maximizing the use of renewable energy. Ideal for commercial, industrial, or large residential applications, the 30KVA system delivers robust performance under varying load conditions.
