Position Overview

We are introducing a premier dining establishment in Tirana, Albania, that harmoniously blends the bold, diverse flavors of Nigeria with the refined sensibilities of European cuisine. Seeking two culinary professionals—a highly skilled Executive Chef and a talented Sous/Station Chef—each must demonstrate mastery of authentic Nigerian culinary techniques while showcasing the innovation and artistry required to elevate these dishes for a discerning, global audience, as well as the local Nigerian community. As the driving force behind our kitchen, you will embody its essence and serve as its heart and soul.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Lead strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and foster collaborative relationships to drive operational excellence and innovation. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts. Serve as a primary liaison with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal departments, to facilitate seamless communication and project delivery.

Menu Curation: Design and elevate signature dishes that preserve authentic Nigerian culinary traditions while appealing to diverse global tastes.

Oversee the plating and visual presentation of each dish to uphold the highest quality and artistic standards, ensuring an exceptional and memorable dining experience that distinguishes the establishment in the competitive European market.

Ensuring exceptional standards of hygiene, proper stock rotation, and strict adherence to food safety protocols, including HACCP and international regulations, is central to this role.

Operational Excellence: Spearhead the “heart of the house” by educating regional staff in authentic Nigerian culinary techniques, signature spice blends, and the refined craft of preparation.

Collaborate effectively with the remote management team to maintain a cohesive narrative of our restaurant brand, ensuring it is reflected in every dish presented.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is essential. Minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience is required. Proficiency in GAAP and tax regulations is mandatory. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are expected. Proficiency in financial reporting and budgeting processes is a must.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience in premium hospitality environments, including luxury hotels, upscale resorts, or distinguished fine-dining establishments.

Demonstrates exceptional expertise in the culinary traditions of Nigeria’s diverse regions, with particular proficiency in specialized cooking methods such as open-flame grilling, traditional spice blending, and the preparation of foundational stews.

A valid culinary diploma or degree from an internationally recognized institution is required for certification.

Possession of a valid international passport and a willingness to relocate to Tirana, Albania for the duration of the project are essential requirements for this role.

Demonstrates the capacity to guide a varied team and remain composed amidst the demanding conditions of a restaurant opening.
