Job Purpose

The Finance Officer will oversee the prudent allocation and management of project funds, ensuring strict adherence to donor and organizational guidelines while maintaining precise financial records and delivering accurate reports.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met with precision. Collaborate across departments to align resources, streamline processes, and foster innovation while maintaining high standards of efficiency and accountability. Develop, implement, and monitor policies, procedures, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and measurable outcomes. Serve as a primary liaison for stakeholders, providing transparent communication, resolving escalated issues, and cultivating stakeholder satisfaction. Lead cross-functional projects, allocate responsibilities, and empower teams through mentorship and professional development initiatives. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical standards, and internal governance frameworks to mitigate risks and uphold organizational integrity.

Maintained meticulous financial records and accounting documentation with precision and thoroughness.

Process all incoming and outgoing financial transactions, including payments, advances, and reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established accounting procedures.

Before authorizing any disbursements, meticulously review and validate all accompanying documentation to ensure compliance with established protocols and accuracy of submitted information.

Compilation of payment vouchers and accurate journal entries will be prepared.

Responsible for up keeping casebooks, bankbooks, and financial registers to ensure accurate financial documentation and record-keeping.

Track project spending to ensure alignment with the approved budget.

Assist with the preparation, revision, and forecasting of budgets to ensure accurate financial planning and resource allocation.

Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial records in compliance with established accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

We facilitate both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements. This involves coordinating audit schedules, providing necessary documentation, and addressing any findings or recommendations proactively.

Offer financial management assistance to field teams to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal accountability.
