In collaboration with the Senior Accounts Officer, the Accounts Officer will maintain the integrity and efficiency of Buckler Systems’ financial processes while adhering strictly to regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties, including but not limited to strategic planning, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and performance evaluation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, foster innovation, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Manage daily operations, monitor key performance indicators, and report progress to senior leadership. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for optimization and implementing data-driven solutions. Serve as a primary liaison between departments, facilitating seamless communication and coordination to achieve collective goals.
Maintain precise documentation of all financial transactions, such as invoices, receipts, payments, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Oversee the processing of vendor payments and client invoices, maintaining diligent follow-up on any outstanding balances to ensure timely resolution.
Ensure the precision and consistency of financial records by meticulously comparing and reconciling bank statements, ledgers, and other pertinent documentation.
Provide support in tracking budget performance, detecting discrepancies, and proposing strategies to enhance cost efficiency.
Maintain adherence to all financial regulations, organizational policies, and established internal control frameworks to uphold operational integrity and mitigate risk exposure.
Partner with the HR department to ensure precise payroll processing and up-to-date employee documentation.
Compile and present regular financial reports, summaries, and statements for management’s review to support informed decision-making.
Prepare comprehensive documentation and deliver essential support throughout both internal and external auditing processes.
Provide support with financial administrative duties, including oversight of petty cash management and organization of filing systems.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a management role. Proficiency in GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards is essential. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems are mandatory. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities are critical. Strong leadership qualities and the capacity to mentor teams are highly valued. Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
A bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting represents the foundational educational prerequisite for this position.
ICAN or ARCA certification is a mandatory prerequisite for this position.
A minimum of two to three years of relevant professional experience is required, ideally within manufacturing or defense-related sectors.
Demonstrated expertise in accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks and Sage, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Excel, is required.
Exceptional ability to analyze financial data with precision and meticulous attention to detail in data entry and reporting.
