As the designated Afraid Intra-African Trade Champion, you will oversee and execute the administrative and managerial duties associated with the Oiler Group of Companies, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational excellence.
Leverage a comprehensive understanding of the entire suite of tools provided by the Oiler Group of companies through the Intra-African Trade Initiative Products and Programs.
To develop and sustain accurate, standardized documentation and periodic reporting for senior leadership and key stakeholders, highlighting critical issues, resolutions, and performance metrics. This enables informed decision-making regarding risks and their implications on financial outcomes.
Responsible for evaluating, interpreting, and developing financial models while providing expert guidance and contributions to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
Provide support in crafting loan applications that align with the eligibility criteria and specifications of Afraid Bank.
Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and organizations that align with and advance our corporate objectives and business priorities.
Interpret and oversee the organization’s engagement with pertinent financial institutions, providing strategic direction to uphold exemplary representation and foster positive interactions.
Remain informed about the bank’s products, initiatives, and strategic choices that could influence organizational direction, and engage with senior leadership to obtain timely updates.
Collect and analyze financial data concerning the bank and its affiliated partners.
Spearhead the execution of directives endorsed by both Management and the Board.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, preferably in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ideal applicant will hold a degree in a related discipline and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with project management methodologies and a track record of meeting deadlines are required. Additionally, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment is necessary. Knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory requirements is also a key requirement for this position.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Economics, or Finance is required.
An advanced degree, specifically an MBA in a relevant field, would be considered advantageous.
A decade or more of professional experience within a banking or financial institution setting is required.
