We are in search of a highly skilled and proactive Field Service Engineer (Rigger) to strengthen our team. The ideal candidate will execute on-site installations, perform routine maintenance, conduct high-altitude rigging, and diagnose issues related to network infrastructure and customer sites. Responsibilities include configuring network hardware, addressing connectivity challenges to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and performing RF site surveys. This role demands robust technical proficiency, outstanding customer service capabilities, and the adaptability to travel extensively across multiple locations.

Installation and configuration responsibilities involve the setup and optimization of ISP network infrastructure, encompassing routers, switches, fiber modems, and wireless/microwave radios—such as devices from Ubiquity, Mitotic, and Cambium, among others.
We prioritize safety and compliance by performing thorough safety inspections and risk evaluations, ensuring adherence to all established safety protocols and regulations. This includes the proficient use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection systems, as well as the capability to work at elevated heights, such as climbing towers and masts.
Conduct on-site diagnostics and execute repairs to address network outages, signal degradation, or hardware malfunctions.
Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on network infrastructure and customer premises to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Perform RF (Radio Frequency) site surveys to evaluate line-of-sight (LOS) conditions and establish precise technical specifications for installations.
Serve as the lead technical liaison for clients, delivering comprehensive on-site assistance, hands-on training, and rapid issue resolution to uphold exceptional satisfaction levels.
Maintain precise documentation for all installation, configuration, repair, and site visit activities to ensure comprehensive and accurate records are consistently upheld.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
Requires 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience within an ICT or ISP operational environment.
Proficiency in TCP/IP, the OSI model, Plans, routing protocols, and switching architectures is required.
Preferred certifications include those like CCNA; a tower climbing certification is considered a valuable addition.
Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities, outstanding interpersonal communication, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Capable of performing duties at elevated heights, undertaking regular travel, and accommodating varied schedules as needed.
Weekend availability is a prerequisite for this role.
