Job Summary

The Facility Supervisor will oversee daily operations, maintenance, and safety protocols for all facility systems, infrastructure, and grounds, ensuring peak performance, operational functionality, and regulatory compliance.

The successful applicant should demonstrate a robust technical understanding of building maintenance systems, encompassing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, civil, and structural components, and be adept at diagnosing and coordinating repairs with precision.

Oversee a range of critical duties, including managing daily operations to ensure seamless workflow, leading cross-functional teams to drive project success, and implementing strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, optimize resource allocation, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. Develop and monitor performance metrics to evaluate team productivity, track progress against targets, and implement corrective actions as needed. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to company policies and best practices.

Oversee the operation and maintenance of all facility systems, encompassing electrical installations, plumbing networks, HVAC systems, generators, water treatment systems, mechanical equipment, and structural integrity.

Perform regular facility inspections to detect maintenance requirements, potential defects, and safety hazards.

Design and execute preventive and remedial maintenance initiatives to uphold continuous and reliable facility operations.

Investigate and facilitate the resolution of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, civil, and structural challenges to mitigate downtime and operational interruptions.

Oversee the performance of service providers, contractors, and technicians to verify adherence to quality service standards.

Maintain adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and building regulations at all times.

Perform routine safety inspections, evaluate potential risks, and organize emergency preparedness drills to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.

Implement corrective measures to address identified risks and ensure meticulous documentation for regulatory and compliance audits.

Plan, oversee, and implement facility enhancement, renovation, and maintenance initiatives, while managing budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships to ensure successful project completion.

Manage civil works, structural modifications, and building repairs while ensuring strict compliance with approved specifications and applicable building codes.

Oversee facility inventories, track maintenance records, and compile operational reports to ensure efficient management and compliance.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering, Building Technology, Estate Management, Facilities Management, or a closely related field is required.

Requires at least three years of practical experience in facility management, building maintenance, or a comparable position.

Proficiency in electrical systems, plumbing infrastructure, routine building maintenance, mechanical equipment operation, and civil/structural engineering principles is essential.

Proven capability to diagnose, resolve, and manage facility-related problems through effective troubleshooting and repair coordination is required.

Knowledge of pertinent local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations is required.

Demonstrates exceptional leadership capabilities, strong organizational acumen, and proficient contractor management expertise.

Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office tools and preparing facility maintenance reports.

Demonstrates a readiness to conduct on-site evaluations and engage in hands-on tasks necessary to monitor and manage facility operations.
