Overview
The Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity, safety, and overall condition of facilities across all sites by performing both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
This position encompasses the execution of plumbing, electrical, generator, carpentry, and mechanical repairs, with specific responsibility for servicing kitchen equipment such as Bain Marie units. Additionally, the role requires responding promptly to repair requests, upholding safety standards, facilitating the acquisition of spare parts, and collaborating with technical teams to reduce downtime and sustain operational efficiency.

Perform regular inspections and proactive maintenance across all restaurant facilities, such as dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, storage spaces, and offices to uphold operational efficiency.
Execute practical repairs encompassing plumbing, electrical systems, generators, carpentry, and general mechanical tasks within the restaurant setting.
Promptly resolve any malfunctions, including leaks, lighting failures, power issues, damaged furniture, and malfunctioning kitchen equipment.
Service and maintain kitchen equipment, such as Bain Marie units and other commercial kitchen systems, to ensure they operate continuously and reliably.
Assist with the installation, adjustment, and relocation of equipment, furniture, and fixtures as needed for setup, renovations, or events.
Ensure that all maintenance tasks adhere rigorously to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations.
Address maintenance requests promptly to reduce operational disruptions and maintain efficiency.
Oversee the upkeep and administration of maintenance equipment, replacement components, and supplies, guaranteeing organized storage and consistent accessibility.
You will facilitate the acquisition of mechanical and electrical components while coordinating with suppliers and vendors to address maintenance requirements.
Collaborate with external technicians to facilitate major repairs, servicing, or inspections as needed.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to join our team. Applicants must possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Candidates must hold either an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Facility Management, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
