A six-month initial contract is offered, with the potential for extension up to a total of twelve months.

We invite applications for the role of ESG Researcher to contribute to an integrated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) analysis focused on Nigeria’s oil sector.

Oversee and execute critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maintaining efficiency across all processes. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive performance improvements and optimize workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and cost reduction. Manage and mentor staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and high performance. Monitor key performance indicators to assess progress and implement corrective measures as needed. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices at all times. Prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings, challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Perform comprehensive research and data analysis focused on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors.

Conduct thorough analyses of industry reports, policies, and pertinent literature to extract critical insights and inform strategic decision-making.

Craft meticulously researched reports, concise briefs, and compelling presentations of the highest caliber.

Facilitate interaction and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure successful completion of project deliverables.

The position necessitates a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a related field, along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in project management software, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams. Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, are essential for interacting with stakeholders and presenting findings clearly. Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards is required, as is the capacity to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred but not mandatory.

A bachelor’s degree is required in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, Sustainability, or a related discipline.

Demonstrated expertise in performing comprehensive ESG, sustainability, governance, or policy research within the Nigerian context.

Proven expertise in the Nigerian oil and gas industry, encompassing its regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and operational challenges. Demonstrated familiarity with key stakeholders, industry trends, and emerging technologies within the sector.

Strong capabilities in research, analytical thinking, and report preparation are essential.

Proven capacity for autonomous work execution and timely delivery within specified deadlines.

We require on-site presence for this position, meaning all work will be conducted at our designated office location.
