We are in search of a dependable and seasoned Dispatch Rider to enhance our logistics team, overseeing daily delivery operations throughout Lagos Island.
The role encompasses a comprehensive range of duties, including the execution of daily operational tasks, the management of project timelines, and the oversight of team performance to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Additionally, the position requires collaboration across departments to streamline processes, analyze data to identify areas for improvement, and implement strategic solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. Responsible for the secure and punctual collection and transportation of parcels, ensuring they reach their destinations without delay or damage.
Accomplish approximately 45 deliveries each day while maintaining efficiency and reliability in service. Ensure timely and accurate completion of each delivery assignment to meet operational targets consistently.
Devise and adhere to optimized delivery routes to guarantee punctual shipments.
Ensure parcels are meticulously processed, tracked, and managed in accordance with established procedures to maintain accurate records and prevent loss or damage.
Consistently liaise with the dispatch coordinator to ensure seamless coordination and up-to-date information exchange throughout the day.
Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of every delivery and receipt processed.
Strict compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations is mandatory.
Promptly escalate any delivery issues, delays, or incidents for immediate resolution.
Ensure the assigned motorcycle is maintained in a clean and operational state at all times.
Seeking a highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a related field is required. The position demands the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in all tasks.
Proven experience as a dispatch rider is a mandatory requirement.
