KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Junior Account Officer provides essential support to the accounting team by executing daily financial transactions, meticulously maintaining precise records, facilitating reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to company policies and financial regulations. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, robust analytical capabilities, and a steadfast dedication to accuracy in financial documentation.
Assisting with the timely and precise processing of vendor payments.
Assist with the execution of monthly vendor payment procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions.
Organize, categorize, and maintain accurate documentation to support record-keeping requirements and ensure regulatory compliance.
The process involves verifying vendor statements of account (SOA) to confirm their correctness and address any inconsistencies.
Process and mark all completed documents with the appropriate “PAID” and “FT” stamps to ensure accurate and thorough documentation.
Handle vendor inquiries professionally through email and other designated communication channels.
SKILL SET
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree—or a Higher National Diploma (HND)—in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
Seeking candidates with up to two years of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration roles.
Strong communication skills are essential, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and keen observational abilities.
