The position involves overseeing key operational initiatives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive organizational growth. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to manage and expand key client relationships, ensuring sustained revenue growth and client satisfaction. Oversee a portfolio of high-value accounts, identifying cross-selling opportunities and delivering tailored solutions that align with client needs. Lead a dedicated team, providing coaching and performance management to drive excellence in service delivery. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align offerings with market demands and enhance value propositions. Regularly assess account performance, utilizing data-driven insights to optimize strategies and mitigate risks. Foster long-term partnerships by maintaining open communication, addressing concerns proactively, and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Contribute to the development of best practices and process improvements to enhance overall account management efficiency and effectiveness.

Develops and executes the Pricing & Market Access (P&MA) strategy and operational plan for the country, conducting thorough analyses of the competitive landscape to empower the Head of Value Access in crafting an impactful market strategy.

Proactively tracks reimbursement and pricing shifts within the designated market to assess potential risks or opportunities, enabling strategic adjustments to support successful new product launches.

Conducting thorough market evaluations to identify and analyze existing and emerging access drivers within designated markets, then developing persuasive value propositions to differentiate solutions against competing treatments.

The position collaborates with the SSA Head of Value & Access to develop pricing strategies grounded in dynamic market conditions and evolving demands. Additionally, the role establishes comprehensive market pricing, market access, and product lifecycle requirements for both new and existing offerings.

Provides assistance to Key Account Managers in developing strategic pricing strategies that reflect current market conditions, ensuring alignment with decisions made by Country Heads and the overarching strategies of the SSA.

Collaborates with insurance providers and key decision-makers involved in the technical evaluation of pharmaceuticals to collect essential insights, enabling impactful strategic actions.

Supports the SSA Head in obtaining and organizing the necessary documentation to enroll accounts as specified, including any of the following: Global Value Dossiers (GVDs), health-economic models, and value stories.

Delivers necessary training on Global/Local HER tools and models, as well as objection handling, to Key Account Managers (Dams) and cross-functional teams as requested.

Supports the design and execution of advocacy activities for the benefit of the Novartis priority brands and key assets in the assigned country.

Engages in high-level portfolio policy deliberations, collaborating with internal stakeholders to maintain policy coherence and foster proactive involvement throughout the SSA.

Key metrics will be employed to evaluate performance, including measurable benchmarks tied directly to role-specific objectives. These indicators will provide clear insights into efficiency, productivity, and overall contribution to organizational goals. Regular assessments will be conducted to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure alignment with established targets.

Monitor the pricing dynamics, regulatory landscape, competitive access conditions, and significant policy developments within the designated market segment to ensure comprehensive market intelligence and strategic alignment.

Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs, Public Affairs, and Country Management to address cross-functional access-related matters comprehensively.

Represent Novartis within prominent trade associations, actively engaging in policy-focused working groups, as well as those centered on Pricing and Market Access, while spearheading external advocacy initiatives on pricing and access-related issues.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for effectively developing and implementing value propositions tailored to the specific market needs of your assigned country. This includes crafting compelling messaging and ensuring seamless roll-out strategies to drive engagement and adoption among key stakeholders. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and refine the value story to maximize its impact.

Education

Ideal Background :

A university degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, Health Economics, or an equivalent field is strongly preferred.

Experience

With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience within the pharmaceutical sector, you will bring a strong background in industry-specific practices and compliance standards to this role.

Professionals with demonstrated expertise in market access, reimbursement dossier compilation, external affairs, advocacy, and pricing strategies are strongly preferred.

Skills

Demonstrates a strong track record in managing relationships with external stakeholders within healthcare and/or pharmaceutical organizations.

Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, persuasion, and influence is required.

Proven expertise in developing and overseeing pricing initiatives and market access strategies.

Demonstrated skill in grasping and articulating the key value propositions of products or services.

Demonstrated proficiency in fostering strong partnerships with external stakeholders and internal teams across diverse functions.

Strong familiarity with country-level regulatory, market access, and environmental landscapes.

Proven ability to communicate effectively through both verbal discussions and written documentation, along with strong presentation capabilities.
