The CRMS Officer will oversee the administration, monitoring, and regulatory reporting of all facilities within the Central Bank of Nigeria Credit Risk Management System (CONFIRMS). This position ensures the precise processing of CRMS references, the timely dissemination of regulatory updates, adherence to CBN mandates, and the efficient management of reporting obligations associated with the Bank’s credit portfolio.

This position enhances the Bank’s credit risk governance framework by ensuring precise portfolio reporting, maintaining data integrity, and facilitating regulatory interactions, all while adhering to the CBN’s CRMS and Global Standing Instruction (GSI) requirements.

The position entails overseeing key operational tasks, ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory guidelines. This includes managing daily workflows, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining accurate documentation of processes and outcomes. Additionally, the role requires implementing efficiency improvements, monitoring performance metrics, and addressing any deviations promptly to sustain productivity and quality.

Generate CONFIRMS reference codes for newly approved credit facilities and ensure their accurate processing.

Oversee the renewal and extension of CRMS references for both existing and active credit facilities.

Revise outstanding balances and execute the liquidation of existing facilities on the CONFIRMS platform.

Process and track restructuring requests for both approved and existing credit facilities within the CRMS platform.

Initiate and oversee the Global Standing Instruction (GSI) processes for facilities that have defaulted after 90 days within relevant loan portfolios, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to established protocols.

Prepare and deliver month-end reports for Bonds, Securities, and loan accounts to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) through the Credit Risk Management System (CRMS) platform.

Ensure all CRMS regulatory submissions and portfolio updates are accurate and complete.

Ensure adherence to CBN CRMS guidelines, regulatory deadlines, and established internal credit administration protocols.

Collaborate with Credit Administration, Operations, IT, and other relevant stakeholders to address and resolve issues and exceptions related to the Credit Risk Management System (CRMS).

Ensure meticulous documentation and comprehensive audit trails are maintained for all CRMS processing activities and regulatory correspondence.

Support the reconciliation of Customer Relationship Management System (CRMS) records against the Bank’s core banking system and internal credit records.

Prepare and present periodic reports on the CRMS portfolio and regulatory updates for management and applicable committees.

Promptly elevate unresolved exceptions, validation discrepancies, and data integrity concerns to ensure swift resolution.

Provide assistance during regulatory examinations, audits, and supervisory engagements concerning Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRMS) and Global Services Initiatives (GSI) activities.

Requirements

A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or another quantitative field is required.

A minimum of three years of relevant experience in credit administration, regulatory reporting, or credit risk management is required.

Proficient in utilizing the CBN Credit Risk Management System (CRMS) and the Global Standing Instruction (GSI) framework is required.

Seeking candidates with practical expertise in Customer Relationship Management System (CRMS) processing, validation, and regulatory reporting.

Experienced with operating CRMS Report Converter and CBN CRMS Validator tools, demonstrating a high level of expertise in their functionality and application.

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of banking operations, loan lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance standards.

Exceptional proficiency in analytical reasoning, reconciliation processes, and problem resolution is required.

Demonstrated proficiency in effective communication and adeptness in managing stakeholder relationships.

Maintaining a superior standard of accuracy, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail is essential.
