Job Summary
A highly organized and forward-thinking Risk Officer is required to proactively identify, evaluate, oversee, and address operational, financial, compliance, and strategic risks throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will be instrumental in reinforcing internal controls, maintaining regulatory compliance, and advancing business continuity efforts.
Oversee and execute critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maintaining high standards of performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives forward, troubleshoot challenges, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making. Serve as a liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and coordination to streamline workflows and achieve collective goals. Additionally, supervise staff performance, provide mentorship, and cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
Assess and evaluate potential risks to determine their potential impact on the organization’s operations, financial stability, reputation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Design, formulate, and execute comprehensive risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure organizational resilience and compliance with regulatory standards.
Oversee existing internal control systems and propose enhancements to reduce and manage identified risks effectively.
Perform regular evaluations of potential risks and compile comprehensive risk reports for executive review.
Maintain adherence to all relevant legal requirements, regulatory standards, and established internal guidelines.
Work collaboratively with various departments to proactively identify potential risk exposures and subsequently implement appropriate corrective measures.
Conduct thorough analyses of risk incidents, security breaches, and operational disruptions, then develop and propose strategic actions to mitigate future occurrences.
Facilitate internal and external audit processes, driving prompt resolution of all audit findings to uphold compliance and operational integrity.
Oversee the maintenance of risk registers while ensuring the systematic tracking of risk mitigation plans.
Deliver targeted risk awareness education and advisory services to staff members.
Track and analyze developing risks and industry shifts that could impact business operations.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
Seeking a professional with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Finance, or Internal Control.
Highly desirable is prior experience within an audit firm.
Proficiency in Finance and Accounting functions is highly desirable.
Proficiency in analytical reasoning, problem resolution, and thorough investigative abilities is required.
Demonstrates a solid grasp of risk management frameworks, internal control mechanisms, and applicable regulatory standards.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on Excel, is required.
Proven expertise in crafting clear, concise reports, along with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities.
