Job Summary
The Depot Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in executing sales initiatives at the depot level, cultivating and sustaining robust customer connections, meeting predetermined sales objectives, and upholding exceptional standards of customer service.
This position entails discovering new avenues for business expansion, nurturing relationships with current clients, handling order fulfillment, and fostering the organization’s overall development.
Oversee a comprehensive range of duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to drive organizational objectives. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance productivity, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and cost optimization. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and prepare detailed reports to inform executive decision-making. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, vendors, and internal departments, to cultivate trust and alignment with business goals.
To achieve sales targets, actively market and generate demand for the company’s products across the designated territory, engaging potential and existing customers to drive revenue growth.
Consistently meet and exceed monthly and annual sales quotas through strategic planning and proactive customer engagement.
Develop and nurture robust partnerships with distributors, retailers, and in-person customers to ensure sustained engagement and mutual growth.
Handle customer orders with precision and oversee their prompt delivery to meet service standards.
Monitor inventory levels and liaise with warehouse staff to ensure stock is adequately maintained.
To uncover fresh sales prospects and broaden the client base, it is essential to proactively seek out and evaluate potential opportunities in the market.
Compile and distribute comprehensive sales reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Collect market intelligence regarding competitors, pricing structures, and customer preferences to inform strategic decision-making.
Address customer concerns promptly and proactively to uphold and enhance overall satisfaction levels.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree, such as an OND or NCE, in Marketing, Business Administration, or a comparable discipline is required.
Requires 1 to 3 years of proven sales experience, ideally within fast-moving consumer goods, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
Skilled in fostering clear, concise, and persuasive dialogue, with a proven ability to negotiate effectively and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Proven ability to cultivate and sustain strong customer relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates strong command of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Demonstrates strong self-motivation and consistently achieves established sales objectives.
