Responsible for ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports are prepared accurately and delivered promptly in accordance with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
Oversee and validate the general ledger to guarantee precise documentation of every financial transaction, ensuring consistency and reliability in the accounting records.
Develop and deliver comprehensive financial analyses, projections, and performance evaluations to leadership to facilitate strategic decision-making processes.

Spearhead the annual budgeting process in partnership with departmental heads, ensuring alignment and accountability across all teams.

Ensure the prompt and accurate submission of tax returns as well as the remittance of all statutory obligations, including those to the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Lagos Inland Revenue Service (LIES), Pension Fund Administrators, and the National Housing Fund (NHF).
Implement and oversee robust internal control systems to ensure the protection of company assets and mitigate the risk of fraudulent activities.
Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, addressing audit findings in a timely manner while ensuring effective resolution.
Ensure strict adherence to all applicable financial regulations and organizational policies at all times.
Oversee cash flow management, banking transactions, and partnerships with financial institutions to ensure efficient financial operations and strong institutional relationships.
To oversee working capital, ensuring sufficient liquidity is maintained for ongoing operations and project initiatives.
Assess potential investment prospects and provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding optimal funding approaches.
Ensure the proficient utilization of accounting software and ERP systems to facilitate precise reporting and analytical insights.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in project management, preferably within the IT sector. Proficiency in methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall is required, along with strong leadership and communication skills. The ideal applicant must demonstrate expertise in budget management, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is mandatory, while a PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable. Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana is essential for effective task tracking and team collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or Finance is required.
A recognized professional certification, such as ICAN, ARCA, or an equivalent qualification, is an essential requirement for this role.
A minimum of eight years of progressive accounting experience is required, including at least three years in a senior management capacity.
