Job Summary

The Field Agent is tasked with driving customer acquisition, mobilizing savings, monitoring loans, managing collections, and fostering strong customer relationships within designated territories.

This position requires frequent on-site visits to clients’ residences, commercial establishments, markets, and local communities to facilitate account initiation, verify loan applications, track repayment progress, and foster business expansion.

The successful applicant must demonstrate reliability, a results-oriented mindset, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and adaptability to extensive fieldwork.

Oversee and execute critical responsibilities essential to the role, including developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Collaborate with senior leadership to drive operational excellence and achieve key performance indicators. Analyze complex data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and recommend data-driven solutions. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster transparency, trust, and alignment with company objectives. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to executive leadership. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while upholding ethical standards in all business practices.

Prospect and onboard new clients for deposit and lending solutions.

Responsible for establishing and managing customer accounts in strict adherence to company-established protocols and guidelines.

Drive deposit growth initiatives and foster customer engagement to elevate savings account balances.

Perform on-site visits to facilitate customer onboarding and conduct verification processes.

Evaluate clients’ operational performance and financial stability to determine eligibility and viability for loan funding.

Conduct verification procedures for addresses and guarantors to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards.

Track loan disbursement and borrower repayment trends to ensure adherence to financial agreements and assess credit risk exposure.

Proactively monitor and manage both upcoming and past-due loan repayments to ensure timely collection and adherence to payment schedules.

Develop and execute effective strategies to recover outstanding loan balances from accounts in arrears, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies while minimizing financial losses.

Develop and nurture enduring partnerships with clients and key stakeholders in the community.

Provide detailed explanations to customers regarding the array of financial products and services offered to ensure they make well-informed decisions.

Maintain precise documentation of customer interactions, collections, and on-site operations to ensure thorough and up-to-date records.

Compile comprehensive field reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to document activities, progress, and findings accurately.

Achieve predetermined customer acquisition, savings mobilization, and loan recovery targets as assigned.

Seeking a candidate who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field, with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in software development, system administration, or IT support. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is required, along with experience working with databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.

A bachelor’s degree, HND, or OND in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a closely aligned discipline is required.

Seeking candidates with 2 to 5 years of experience in roles such as Field Agent, Credit Officer, Loan Officer, Savings Mobilization Officer, or comparable positions.

Effective verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with a talent for fostering productive professional relationships, are essential.

Proven expertise in negotiation tactics and debt recovery processes.

Proven capability to work autonomously while consistently achieving established objectives and deadlines.

Possesses a strong understanding of the local market dynamics and business landscape.

Demonstrated familiarity with lending procedures and savings account management is required.

Skilled in operating smartphones and utilizing digital data collection tools effectively.
