Job Summary

We seek a highly motivated Business Development Officer driven by tangible results to join our on-site teams.

This position is uniquely suited for specialists, not general practitioners.

You should possess hands-on experience in a Human Resources firm or a consulting environment.

We provide specialized professional services to executive-level clients, and we seek an individual who possesses an intimate understanding of that industry.

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee daily operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with established protocols. This role involves managing a team, delegating responsibilities, and maintaining clear communication to achieve organizational goals. Additionally, the position requires monitoring performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed. Strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a results-driven mindset are essential for success in this role.

Explore and capitalize on emerging business prospects within designated industries, with particular emphasis on HR and consulting service segments.

Orchestrate the entire sales process, from initial prospect identification and outreach to persuasive presentations, strategic negotiations, and final deal closure.

Develop and maintain a dynamic sales pipeline while systematically recording all activities within the CRM system.

Craft compelling proposals, presentation materials, and contractual agreements tailored to prospective clients, ensuring excellence in quality and clarity.

Work collaboratively with our HR and consulting delivery teams to align proposed solutions with the genuine requirements of clients.

Participate in networking events, industry roundtables, and client meetings to foster professional relationships and gather industry insights.

Regularly attain or surpass established monthly and quarterly revenue goals.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, Economics, or a closely related field is required.

With a minimum of two years of professional experience in Human Resources or a consulting environment—such as a recruitment agency, HR outsourcing firm, HR technology company, payroll service provider, or management strategy consultancy—you are well-prepared for this role.

With a strong background in business-to-business development, sales, or client acquisition—preferably within professional services—you bring a track record of success to this role.

Proven expertise in buyer behavior within HR and consulting sectors, encompassing RFPs, procurement processes, and key decision-makers such as Chief Human Resources Officers (Chris), Talent Directors, and Chief Operating Officers (COOs).

With a wealth of expertise in business development or sales within this industry, the ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of driving growth and cultivating strategic partnerships.

Effective proficiency in both oral and written communication is essential.

What We Offer

Remuneration for this position is set at NGN100,000, ensuring competitive compensation in line with industry standards.

A transportation allowance of NGN 20,000 will be provided.

Commissions are earned for each successfully closed deal, providing a direct incentive tied to performance outcomes.
