Job Summary

The Barman plays a pivotal role in crafting and delivering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to patrons with a focus on outstanding service, meticulous bar upkeep, and contributing to the financial success of the bar.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maintaining high operational standards. Implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance across designated teams or departments. Act as a liaison between senior leadership and operational staff, facilitating seamless communication and fostering collaboration to drive project success. Monitor progress through data-driven analysis, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices to uphold accountability and mitigate risks. Lead by example, mentoring team members and cultivating a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Prepare beverages in strict adherence to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every serving.

Respond to guests in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring all interactions reflect a high standard of professionalism.

Suggest personalized beverage selections and actively encourage patrons to explore the bar’s featured specials.

Maintain a consistently clean, orderly, and fully stocked bar area at all times to uphold service standards and efficiency.

Monitor beverage stock levels and promptly notify management of any shortages.

Accept and securely store bar supplies upon delivery, ensuring they are accurately inventoried and organized for efficient retrieval.

Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system to process guest payments with precision and efficiency.

Responsible for ensuring precise documentation of sales activities and inventory fluctuations.

Maintain adherence to established health, safety, and hygiene protocols without exception.

Ensure efficient utilization of bar stock by preventing wastage, breakages, and any unauthorized use.

Provide support in conducting stock-taking and reconciling inventory discrepancies.

Address guest concerns with professionalism and discretion, elevating unresolved matters to appropriate channels as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience is required for this role. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in [specific field, e.g., software development, project management, etc.] is necessary. Strong proficiency in [specific tools, languages, or methodologies relevant to the job] is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team are critical. Prior experience leading projects or teams is highly preferred. Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends is also expected.

A minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), or an equivalent academic credential is required.

Experienced bartenders are sought, having previously worked in a hotel, bar, lounge, restaurant, or other hospitality venue.

Proficiency in cocktail preparation and beverage service will be considered favorably.

Possessing formal training or certification in food and beverage service would be highly beneficial.

Prospective candidates must possess a comprehensive set of skills and demonstrated competencies, including strong analytical abilities, exceptional communication proficiency, and the capacity to work effectively in collaborative team environments. Additionally, the ideal applicant should exhibit proficiency in relevant software applications, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency in task execution.

Proficient in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage varieties, including their ingredients, production methods, and service standards.

Demonstrates exceptional ability to engage with customers and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.

Possesses strong interpersonal and persuasive abilities to effectively engage with clients and drive sales performance.

Must demonstrate expertise in blending and presenting beverages with speed and precision.

Proficient in managing cash transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.

Demonstrates meticulous attention to precision and correctness in all tasks.

Demonstrated capacity to perform effectively amidst tight deadlines and high-pressure scenarios in a dynamic work setting.

Possesses strong organizational capabilities and demonstrates effective time-management proficiency.

Proven capability to collaborate productively within a team environment.

Proficiency in maintaining bar hygiene standards, adhering to safety protocols, and managing stock-control procedures is required.
