Role Brief
The Assistant Production Manager (Oil Palm) ensures the seamless execution of production operations by aligning daily activities with strategic plans while enhancing the utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and methodologies (4M) to maximize efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
This position is tasked with achieving production targets, managing labor costs efficiently, reducing downtime and waste, upholding quality standards, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Oversee a comprehensive range of essential duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met with precision and efficiency. Develop and implement robust policies, procedures, and performance metrics to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align departmental goals with broader company initiatives, fostering a cohesive and high-performing work environment. Monitor progress through regular assessments and data-driven insights, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation. Prepare weekly and monthly production schedules and transform them into daily shift plans.
Responsibilities include strategically assigning personnel, equipment, and resources to ensure seamless and efficient production operations.
Monitor production levels vigilantly, identify any deficiencies promptly, and initiate corrective measures to restore performance.
Oversee the administration of attendance records, coordinate shift schedules, monitor overtime allocations, and ensure the precision of payroll processing.
Monitor equipment functionality, analyze downtime occurrences, and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintain stringent quality benchmarks, and implement effective waste management protocols.
Oversee production expenses while implementing measures to enhance operational efficiency.
Maintain adherence to all safety protocols, utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly report any incidents to ensure a secure work environment.
Compile precise daily reports outlining production activities and operational performance.
Oversee team discipline, performance standards, and employee growth initiatives.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with at least three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is required, along with experience with version control systems like Git. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and strong problem-solving skills are essential. The ideal applicant must demonstrate excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Production, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering—or an equivalent discipline—is required.

Additionally, knowledge of DevOps practices, version control tools (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial for troubleshooting and optimizing technical solutions.
Demonstrates exceptional aptitude for dissecting complex information and devising innovative solutions through methodical analysis and critical thinking.
ER proficiency, along with advanced Excel skills, is required for this position.
A background in Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is considered a valuable asset for this role.
